This Agreement is between [Company Name] ("Gospeleon", "we") and you, the artist, label representative, or rights-holder ("you") who uploads music to Gospeleon. It applies in addition to our Terms of Service.
1. Who this applies to
You must register with the "Artist" role, complete your artist profile, and — before you can receive payouts — add a verified bank account. By uploading any content you confirm you've read and accepted this Agreement.
2. Rights you grant us
For every track, album, single, cover image, bio, and promotional material you upload, you grant Gospeleon:
- A non-exclusive licence to host, stream, cache, reformat, store, and distribute the content to users through the service.
- The right to include your content in curated discover pages, the store, and marketing (e.g. newsletters, social media posts, homepage sliders).
- The right to sell digital downloads and subscription access to your content and to collect payments from users on your behalf.
You keep all copyright and ownership. You can release the same content on other platforms — we do not ask for exclusivity.
3. Your warranties
You promise us that:
- You own or control all rights needed to upload the content (including any samples, features, producer credits, or third-party contributions).
- The content does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, publicity, or privacy rights.
- Lyrics and artwork do not contain hate speech, harassment, defamatory material, or content that violates Nigerian or applicable international law.
- You will keep your bank and tax details accurate.
If someone claims your upload infringes their rights, we may remove it while we investigate — see our Copyright Policy.
4. Royalties & earnings
Your earnings on Gospeleon come from two sources:
- Sales — a percentage of each digital store purchase of your track, single, or album, after Paystack processing fees. The exact percentage is the "artist commission" configured by the platform and is shown in your dashboard at the time of sale.
- Subscription pool — a per-stream share of a quarterly pool funded by Premium subscription revenue. Your share is proportional to the number of eligible streams your catalogue received during that quarter.
Earnings are calculated and recorded against your account in real time. You can see a complete breakdown in Artist Earnings.
5. BBF (Balance Brought Forward)
If you joined Gospeleon after your catalogue was already on the platform (e.g. during a bulk import) or if an admin manually adjusts your opening balance, it appears on your dashboard as BBF (Balance Brought Forward). BBF is added to your current-period earnings to compute your payable balance. Every BBF change is logged in an audit trail that you can view from Earnings.
6. Payouts
- Minimum payout threshold is set in the platform and shown in your Earnings dashboard.
- Payouts are processed once per quarter (unless we announce a different cadence) to the verified bank account on your profile.
- If a payout fails (wrong account details, bank rejection), we'll credit the amount back to your balance and email you to update your details.
- Withholding tax, VAT, or other statutory deductions are applied where Nigerian or applicable international law requires.
7. AI tools (cover generation)
We offer an optional AI tool to generate or refine cover artwork. Each generation is charged at cost from your Earnings balance — the price is shown before you submit. You own the generated artwork you keep, subject to the upstream model's terms. Don't upload generations of identifiable real people without their consent.
8. Moderation & removal
We may remove or restrict any content that violates this Agreement, our Terms of Service, or applicable law. We may also pause payouts pending investigation of fraud, impersonation, or mass unauthorised uploads. We'll email you before or at the time we take action, except in emergencies or where notice would interfere with an investigation.
9. Term & termination
This Agreement continues until you remove your catalogue and close your artist account (from Settings) or we terminate for material breach. On termination, we'll stop selling and streaming your content within 14 days, and pay out any earned balance above the minimum threshold in the next payout run.
10. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Lagos, Nigeria. Contact us first at legal@gospeleon.com — we'll work to resolve issues informally before any formal proceeding.
