Born on April 9 1962 in Aba; Olugu Orji is the fourth of eight children of Adanneya and Oji Kalu Olugu of Elu Ohafia in Abia State. His primary education was at Ohafia Central School and Bisije Primary School Funtua. After a year at Maria Coronata Secondary School Asaga Ohafia, he left for Federal Government College Malali Kaduna to complete that aspect of his education. He was to proceed to the then University of Ife where he studied Architecture between 1980 and 1987. Ife was where the musical side of him came to the fore; aided in no small measure by his membership of The Redemption Singers. It was here he cut his teeth as a vocalist, guitarist and songwriter. National Service obligation was to take him to Benue State where, with the Doves Gospel Band he crisscrossed the length and breadth of the state and the nation in fruitful ministry. In 2003, he released his inaugural music album titled, WONDERFUL PAPA with his wife. On December 12 1992 at the Qua Iboe Church, Lobi Quarters Makurdi, he wedded Christiana Jumai and the union is blessed with a son, Chimsomeje Isaac Eny’Ojo
